Hudson/James Bay bound!

I am planning a trip to Hudson Bay and James Bay this summer and am noticing that fuel availability in straight floats is getting more troublesome. No fuel in Churchill and they closed the seaplane base in Moosonee for instance. Has anyone been up there recently? I am looking for local contacts so I can fuel my fuel bags anywhere along the coast. Thanks in advance.

When we were there the only fuel for floatplanes was the local gas station. A float pilot with us asked the attendant how much the fuel cost .... the reply was "Does it matter"

Many years ago when I was making numerous trips to the Canadian backcountry I found the fuel cost was related to the mode of transportation in getting the fuel to the location. Churchill was rather low cost because there is a railroad access for transportation. Other places where it had to be barged or flown in the cost was much higher.

I am noticing that too, in addition many bush operators are switching to turbine aircraft so 100LL is getting more scarce. I am OK with using pump gas from town but would like to make arrangements ahead of time to confirm I can get fuel
