Arkansas
First off, great site with tons of knowledge and experience. I'm 57 years old and live in Sulphur Rock, AR. I was a previous crop duster ( Super Cubs, Pawnees, Cessna Ag-Trucks) in the late 60's and early 70's. Finally went back to school and have been practicing urology in Batesville, AR, since 1990. I got back into flying a little over a year ago and bought N95AH in 9/10 and have put @ 200 hrs on her over the last year. The plane is a 1978 Super Cub rebuilt with several mods in 2005 by Dan Byker in IA; now has a 160 with a little over 300 hrs. I finished my hanger (60 x 60) about 3 months ago, but don't have the strip done yet; currently based at Batesville, AR (BVX). I work mostly, fly when I can, and take care of some cattle on the side. I hope to see some of you folks around. HLB

Welcome, Rule #1. Watch the guys from Oklahoma.
Rule#2. If you need help, call anyone from Texas.
Rule#3. Ignore the BS and have a great time. You have found a great site, get in the middle of it.

Welcome HLB!! Roger is right, this is a great bunch of people, so just jump right in. Great opportunity to do just that is this weekend here at 0A9, East Tennessee Fall Super Cub Fly-In. Weather is going to be great, lot's of flying in the Applachain/Blue Ridge Mtns and just a "little" amount of campfire tales every evening. It's like a family reunion except you are with the people you want to be with instead of the people you have to be with :-)

Steve

You have to remember this one thing and that is there are two things to remember. Rule number one is have fun and rule number two is safety first. Welcome.

If you haven't already, go get some bushwheels immediately. You'll end up in a very bad mental state after your first sc.org fly-in if you don't. You've been warned.

No, HLB, pay no attention to whim, no bushwheels unless practical, no cosmetics for an eye-sweet Cub. It shouldn't look lop-sided as Dolly Parton (unless you need comforting)!

Where is sulpher rock? You need to go meet Carroll county airport manager Perry Evans, a misplaced Cajun and sc member. Oh, don't take advice from Roger Peterson, he has been mislead. :) Rule 1- Okies will be your best friends.

Thanks Steve P. It helps if the Texicans stick together. I left my plane at Surfside SPB north of St Paul this year and drove home. I had heard the Okies were on the lookout for Texans overflying their state. Still have one here to sneak up there from the south if needed.
