Gear steps

I have a weld on fueling step on the left gear and am putting a long step on the right gear. Somewhere on this site I saw a lower step that looked like a motorcycle foot peg mounted around axle height. I’ve tried multiple site searches and all I’ve found are long step and mid step but no lower. The older I get the less bendable I become. Just thinking ahead a few years and think a bolt on lower step might be a spiffy addition. Anybody know where I can acquire one or have photos of one you’ve fabricated? Thanks.

If I remember correctly StewartB had one on his cub that looks like the the TK1 step I think it a motorcycle peg cut in half.

These might work as a cheaper alternative. Just unscrew the attachment arm and reuse the bolt hole to attach it to the gear strut bolt.

I purchased those from Amazon. Removed the attachment fittings and milled a profile to match my axle. I also bought a 3’ section of aluminum angle 2”x 2” x 3/16”. Machined a couple stand offs that matched the gear leg tube profiles and fit up into the 2x2 angle. Drilled it full of holes and match drilled to fit the grommets welded into my gear legs. It’s painted metallic silver to match the future gear leg cover and I sprayed the top with bed liner for a non skid surface. It made a nice entry/fueling step.
