I was able to find a set of PA-12 wings in British Columbia for my Experimental PA-14 ... the tank is 5" thick.. and right at 34" wide (between the ribs). Any idea how many gallons it holds?
They appear to be original type tanks, in which case they are 18gal ea.
Looks like a lot of JB Weld on them already. Really tough to keep them from leaking, especially if you ever put mogas in them. (Why I don’t anymore)
I would go with an aluminum replacement of same capacity unless you want to modify wing bays. I think you can find them at Univair or similar.

So, I have two Piper Tri Pacer (sold to me as Super Cub tanks) tanks 18gal. They have electrical fuel level sensors installed. If you are interested, I will send pictures they are in good shape old but no patches.
