I haul all my fuel in cans, over a 1000gal a year. And as we all know the new cans suck, I have been hitting garage sale for a few years buying the vented style gas cans for future use. The weak link is the spout and loosing the caps. The cans I use the most are the 6gal Rubbermaid ones that hold almost 7gal and I have modified the spouts adding a 18" x 1" vinal hose to each can with a broom handle plug in the end. But the smooth part of the spout that I attach the hose to is starting to get brittle from 10 years of use so I started looking for newer parts to keep me going. Do a search on ebay in the "all categories" section for what you are looking for, gas cans, gas can caps, gas can spouts and vents. One guy is selling a vent with cap that you can drill a 1/2" hole in your unvented cans and make them vented, http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-NEW-UNIVE...544?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c653d1778
I just got a few of these and them seem well made and fit my cans. http://www.ebay.com/itm/REPLACEMENT...952?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27c7611920
I carry 3 of 2.5gal Scepter red cans in the baggage when I go on longer flights and can also get parts for them
