Fram filters

McAlpine

PATRON
Barrie, Ontario / Gibson Lake CGL3
Hi Gang,
I've been searching all over the city for the Fram CA 122PL and have had no luck. Finally called Fram customer service and they said that they no longer make that and the replacement filter is the CA 122. The guy on the other end of the phone wasn't much help and said good luck finding it as it is from the fifties and he doesn't even know the name of the truck application it's for. Has anyone else run into this dealing with the Fram product?

I found my answer .
Cheers
Scott

If you run out of options and need an original Fram to be legal in UK, Try WWW.Rockauto.com download their catalog and type CA-122 in the search. $14.84 plus shipping. When I couldn't get the original ones from my local auto parts store I started using them. I think I paid about $9.00 last time I ordered them. Fram no longer makes the nice orange rubber CA-122PL's. I think they have the same jobber that supplies everyone else make theirs and then stamp their name on it. Least wise they look identical to NAPA, WIX ETC. I think this is probably one area unapproved parts the FAA really doesn't want to deal with. My Snow's list a Napa part for their air filters in the parts book.
