I would sure appreciate your advice on this one…

Can I use a stock 150hp conical engine mount with a 160hp on a PA-18? Is there any modification available?

The configuration will be O-320-B3B with an MT prop.

The only difference I am aware of between the two engines is the cylinder compression ratios.

Everyone uses the stock mount even including the O-360 (conical) 180 hp conversions.

the 0320b3b is 160hp set up for a constant speed prop with an rear case for a prop gov,and vac pump and a -32 carb it was used on the pa23 don't know what issues you would have with the crank

I heard there was some limitation for the PA -12 (max of 160hp/ 2700 RPM for swing-out dynafocal mounts), so I thought it would be a good thing to double check for the -18…
