Weighed forW@B Friday then I have 10 months of catching up to do. My IA has become a fast friend and I wish I knew a portion of what he knows about fixing and maintaining planes. Doesnt know as much as Pierce and Mike about Cubs but he is a first clas IA, human, and friend.

She's looking great Eddie! The lightning bolt on my CC-18 stops on the boot, only thing on the engine cowl is a sticker that says, "Top Cub." I think that's the common way to do them on an 18. Were you planning to put a miniaturized version that resides solely on the cowl, or having the stripe down the entire side of the aircraft? I assume the latter, but the way you stated it I visualized a miniature version contained completely on the cowl, that might look really good. Seems to me it'd be a nod to the lineage while still being something different. Either way, congrats on nearing the end!

Thanks Steve but i have to extend the existing stripe and the decal wouldnt match. It will be blue like the stripe.


This is what it used to look like
I will extend the stripe onto the false boot and end up under the a pillar like the J-3.

Dont know if I will put anything on the nose.
