Dissappointed to say the least

Back about Mother's Day my daughter's boyfriend and I were out in the 12 and we managed to blow out one of the sliders. Like any good Cub driver, I immediately went to SC.org for advice. Several members recommended a window kit from those crafty Cub people out in the Great Northwest so I called 'em and ordered the kit. The very nice lady who took my order said I could expect delivery by the end of the week. Never showed, so I sent a polite e-mail asking the status and the same nice lady said she'd checked and found that the order did not ship that week because the fab shop had not made the parts. So I waited some more. Today marks three weeks since I ordered the slider kit and still no parts, nor has there been any action on my credit card that would indicate they'd shipped it in the last couple of days. Another polite e-mail this morning has gone unanswered. Anybody else had a problem getting small parts from these guys? I realize my order represents only 1/1000th of what they get for one of their airplanes whole, but a customer is a customer and you never know when somebody like me might show up and want the whole enchilada. So, yeah, I'm real disappointed with their poor customer service but glad it's summer and that I'm down here where open windows aren't an issue right now. Still gotta fix that slider, tho, because it's just plain tacky to have to cover up the hole with a garbage bag held in place with little pieces of Alabama chrome.

Now I feel bad. The Cub Crafter people just sent me an email saying the slider kit shipped today. Even tho I was never nasty to them, I whined when I should have been patient. However, it looks like persistence pays off sometimes. The site gods can cancel this thread if you want.

I wouldn't feel to bad. They probably shipped when someone there saw your post, but as long as you get your stuff that's the important thing.

I had the same trouble with them for Decals they said days it was weeks about 6 of them, It turns out that it is there outsource contractors that are hurting them, they need to get new ones, if the service doesn't get better I will look elsewhere for my parts.

PS hope they read this.

Friend ordered a prop from them. typical snafu that oldbaldguy described.
Must not have their ducks in a row anymore.

I just bought an item off their ebay account, payed for it last Friday and got it Yesterday. Maybe it is their suppliers?

Yeah, well, if their window slider kit is 1/1000th of the cost of a new one, then it is clear that I could not afford one. Last I heard, new Cubs were upwards of 120 grand. I think for $1200 I could build a better one . . .
