Hi guys and gals...
I'm in the middle of my '51 -18 rebuild and it has original 13 rib wings. I'm keeping the original 13 rib layout because I feel the added weight of the extra ribs is not necessary. To hit the Vne of the 13 rib wings, I think you'll have other problems besides worrying about the wings falling off. My scenario is, I have one wing that requires all new ribs, and my other one has years of use and abuse and broom marks from removing snow so I'm going to replace it too. Which rib set is lighter, univair or dakota? I would love to go with the piper originals, but can't find any. I've searched the forum for about an hour to see if it had previously been talked about, but I couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance!
Bill
