Dakota Cub AWOL??

Hey Ryan - I received your email a week or so ago. I did reply but will send again from my g-mail. We've had issues with emails in that past but I have worked with our IT company (it's all managed by a company who does it remote) and now I have access to our email server; I can see when emails are blocked and then take care of that. I will double check it this morning and see if yours are being blocked.

Charlie and I had some issues with one of his email addresses but that's all taken care of now to my knowledge. He would email and we wouldn't receive at all, but he's send from another one of his email addresses and it'd come through. Absolutely no idea why that is the case but it was.

There shouldn't be issues but don't be afraid to message me on here if needed.
 
Emailing is a waste of time with them. Keep calling them until they answer. Alternatively, just order the tank.
Even though emailing before was a painful experience, with your help last year determining emails were blocked; I now have access to our email server and can fix on the spot. Thank you for that! Hope you are well.

Melanie, I’ve tried to order parts for over a year now. We spoke and I have you my card info. That’s the last I’ve ever heard back in spite of following up numerous times. Please have BRIAN get in touch with me. I have questions in order that I order the correct materials.

checking back in - we had the FAA here yesterday for an audit so I was away from the computer most of the day. I didn't receive a message here, email or phone call about the response you sent the other day. I'm going to just assume you figured it out and move on to the next thing. If that's not the case, contact the shop. Thanks!

General statement to the audience - we're really trying to get better and provide parts faster. We've never in the last 30 years been this busy so thank you, thank you for supporting the company. I'm trying to make improvements and it's showing for the vast majority of customers at this point - aside from some nasty name calling last week - all is well!

If you are in AK - look me up at "The Gathering". We have a booth there May 4-5. If you go to Oshkosh, we'll have the same booth we have the past couple of years by Daher and the Red Vintage Barn. I welcome your introduction and getting to know you.

Respectfully, please dont go to the shows and promote/sell more parts you cant supply! You can already see that people need your offerings. Advertising with your labor outside of production only puts you farther behind for products you can sell without advertising.
We learned a long time ago that people will find you in this day and age of the internet. Cub folks only have a few places to choose from. You will make more money and have better customer service at home doing what you do best and that is building PARTS for the folks rebuilding!

We visit a lot of customers and businesses in Alaska and it's a great way for us to get parts up to those customers. We are doing way better getting parts out the door and continued shipping even while there. I'll take your comment with a grain of salt.

Hi Melanie, is there any news on the J4 wing ribs and trailing edges I ordered last year? Could I collect them at Oshkosh?
That's a GREAT idea! I will make sure they're in the trailer. We're in booth 384 & 385 North of the Red Vintage Barn. Just behind Daher. I'll email you my cell phone number so we can be sure to connect.

Well, summer is slipping by for me. Trying to get in the air before October. Still will be nice weather but I would have liked to make it to Oshkosh and the Northwest (and Alaska...). Fingers crossed I still remember how to fly a Supercub.

Lot's of work to do and I still need those fuel tanks.

If you can ship sight gauges and the under seat box right away I'll take them, otherwise I'll use the CC sight guages I already have and use a different underseat box solutions.

Anyone else being ignored by Dakota Cub? They took $2,700 from me last June and all I've had is empty promises about when the J4 rib kit I ordered would be ready. I've been told everything from, "It's all done and ready to ship", to saying they need to reinspect or rework some of the ribs.

On 20 August I made an order on your website - on 22 August I followed it up with an email neither of which were acknowledged. I also left a message on your voicemail
Please would you be kind enough to let me know whether or not you are able to fulfill this order.
Melanie, I am greatly embarrassed to be using this forum, as I suspect are others, to complain in public about DC’s customer service which used to be excellent when I started my PA18 restoration And has now fallen to rock bottom. My frustration level is very high and climbing.

I am doing the absolute best that I can. I had shipping help, it didn't work out. I hired another person, they didn't show up. I have someone starting tomorrow that unfortunately has no experience with cubs etc. She will be, just like I have been, learning from scratch.

My 57 year old mom passed away unexpectedly. I have had to be gone quite a bit trying to get her stuff taken care of as I'm the only child. This has been terrible for me and for customers. I promise, there is no where I'd rather be than at work. I'm behind and working to catch up and doing the absolute best that I can. I know its frustrating - I'm frustrated too. I can't catch a damn break. We're swamped - it's great! It's the busiest we've ever been so thank you!!! We make an excellent product and are very proud of parts that leave the shop. We're 100x better than we were shipping/order wise with less delays than we were facing when I started a couple years ago. The FAA likes to call that continuous improvement...

Can you see if you're emailing mslenes@dakotacub.com? Mike Slenes no longer works for dakota cub and his email address is no longer valid.
 
I thought y'all stuck him upstairs building parts or something. Thought he was at Oshkosh year before last?
