Coyote Super Cub

I am looking at building a Super Cub clone this winter. The Smith kit is in the lead, but I have seen some pictures of the Dakota Coyote. Does anyone know anything about this aircraft? Is it a kit? Does anyone know anything about the Smith Cub kit? Any hints or ideas?

Thanks,
Dan

I thought the Dakota Kit was a collaboration between the Dakota wings people and Airframes Inc, both supply approved parts.
The Smith Kit is experimantal, sold by Daytona and Performance Air. The fuselage seems to be traditional and available 4 inch wider with the standard mods. I've taken a bunch of pictures of the one on display at Osh If you want to see them I'll try and arrange something. The wing is very different to the traditional wing, supposed to be stronger, but possibly heavier. Uses lots of extruded aluminium parts, which they say doesn't need the adjustable tie rods. I'ved asked the wing people some questions on the Smith web site, but no reply as yet. From what I see you get a pretty complete kit with the Smith deal. Someone more expert than me had a quick look see at the build standard of the welded fuselage and said it looked fine. The web site is on the links page. Someone on this forum has contacts with someone who is flying one in Florida

But don't ask around here about experimental V approved, that a whole new gigabite of debate

Pete - Got the wife talked into it yet?

Dan - I live in Cary and also plan on building
a Smith Cub after I'm a half-ass pilot
of my PA-12.
