Camera Mounts

Purchased a new Panasonic HD LX3 one shot and video for inside the airplane to shoot some of this summers adventures. Took the lead from that guy photo ship one with the external mounts. Nice little unit comes with a ton of options including wide angle lens.
It comes with the standard 1/4 20 thread on the bottom so I am trying to find a Ram mount to have it on the front tubing. However when going to the Ram website it is a U build it kit of bases, arms and attachment fittings. Anyone been down this road so I am not trial and error. I would like to mount up high so I can see through the windshield but have access.

John, it's good to see that somebody's stepping up to fill the void for new video in the NH, Maine area to fill the void left by Cliff, I hope you can fill his shoes. 8) :lol:

Why is Cliff not filming,,,, He quit flying? or is it that his video is becoming notorious? I actually liked his suggestion on his HD video camera... My MiniDV quit working this winter,(cold/hot/cold/hot,,, created moisture in it and it quit till it dried out)... and I was thinking about getting a chipped camera...

He is on a 90 day sebatical......thats what my aunt always said about my uncle when they sent him to dry out after losing his license. :roll:
