Brake Fittings Sealant

What do do y'all use as a sealant for the pipe fittings that connect the parking brake valves (Scott / Avox 4500s) to the master cylinders?

Yep.. Loctite PST591 I believe the # is... Teflon paste in a tube. I have never had a hydraulic or fuel leak since I switched to using it from any of the permatex stuff that let me down about 30% of the time.

I think its loctite 592.....
Same results though.

Thanks... definitely correct. Sitting in a hospital using a nurses computer and I got pretty close on memory! lol

I used to use fuel lube but started using the Loctite 592. Continental recommends it on all pipe fittings.

Well, looks like the Loctite 592 (or a teflon paste semi-equivalent) has the consensus. Thank you one and all for your help!!

Now just to be sure I don't do something dumb -- this stuff goes ONLY on the pipe threads, right?

Thank you, Sir -- trying to stay on the 'straight and narrow' path is tough for me at times ;-) !!!
