Borer Prop Pitch Questions

A friend and I are having a discussion about Borer prop pitch and have a few questions:

What are the pitch limits on a Borer prop installed on a super cub?
What is the source document for the limit?
Are there lifetime re-pitch limits on the Borer prop?

Thanks,

Sean

Don't have the stc in front of me; so if I'm wrong someone will correct me. I think the STC says 41 to 44 inches. I have used them pitched to 40 and even as low as 38 for different purposes. Can't help you with the pitch limits. Have no experience with them pitched above 44. I use 43 on a 160 with higher than normal compression and have had great results for all around use.

This is a McCauley 1A175 prop. McCauley sets the limits on the number of times and how much a prop blade can be manipulated. It is my understanding that the McCauley props can be reworked more than the Sensenich props due to the alloy of the aluminum used in their manufacture.

I had my borer prop repitched and they stamp the hub to indicate a repitched propeller. I believe it's able to be repitched twice

The shop that fixed my borer prop said you could change the pitch 8 inches over the life of the prop.
For example, if the pitch was changed from 43" to 41" and later re-pitched back to 43", that would count as 4" out of the prop's 8" life.
