Belly Tank and EDO 2000 floats

I just installed an Airglass Belly Tank/ Cargo Pod on my PA-12 and am now going to mount my EDO 2000 floats for the summer. Everything seems pretty straight forward but the water rudder lift cable needs to be re-routed a bit to avoid rubbing on the pod. Has anyone come up with a solution for this? Thanks

You could run the pull up cable through a pulley mounted on the front spreader bar. Judging by your picture, I'd be asking if the rear cross wires will clear the pod.

The rear cross wires extend right through the cargo portion of the pod. I am trying to envision what type of pulley on the front crossbar would work, that is probably what I will have to do.

I've seen a pulley attached by a short length of cable to the rigging, the tension of the water rudder retract cable through the pulley pulls it toward the pod, but is limited by the mounting cable. Pulley can pivot/swing to avoid binding. Simple and effective.

Bill, I just looked at my EDO's and your solution should work perfectly. Thanks for posting the links, I read your build thread a while ago but forgot that part!
