Thats the pretty much the same as the Crosswinds STOL cuff thats been out for 50yrs nothing new there, Hahahahahaaaaa
YES, piper is his specialty but tinkers on all makes.so does the crosswinds cuff fit a cub?
There is a thread with the profile of the Badlands cuff and the second revision is longer than the Crosswind STOL cuff. I believe Clint got their after building his own Cessna style wing for his Badland Traveler.Thats the pretty much the same as the Crosswinds STOL cuff thats been out for 50yrs nothing new there, Hahahahahaaaaa
The “Badlands Stol” cuff isn’t really a crazy invention honestly. Even the name isn’t very original as my generation seems to thrive on catchy words and letters like X, ass, bad, extreme, R ect. It’s very similar to the sportsman kit for the Cessnas, and to some degree is an adaptation of that idea to a cub wing.
it adds 2” of chord to the wing which is significantly more than the crosswinds stol. Of course I think I’m onto something, but so does everyone else who’s had an stc for the cub
What cover system are you using? I’m waiting on my Javron kit, bought the Badlands kit a few months ago. I’m hopeful the Stewart system glue will hold down the fabric so that I don’t get any bridging.View attachment 66921View attachment 66921
Some questions about the foam ribs. As Clint said, they pretty much line up with the existing airfoil one way.
There is a small amount of play. Used a string end to end and went through it about five times and got them all lined up.
Sorry for the dual image.
