I see that the web site states you only need to buy it once. Does this mean that they are guaranteed for as long as you own the aircraft? Or am I reading more into the statement?

Buying AOSS Once

If you wear out the AOSS suspension medium material, it will be replaced free of charge, not including any shipping, handling or insurance. This does not cover any damage caused by external forces,(logs, brush, rocks, etc.) or fire.

That's the best I can do. What do you get with hydrasorbs and bungees?

Can you please tell us all of the advantages and disadvantages. A list of these on your website would be nice. I wonder if they would pass the Kirk and Cole Ellis test (which is tougher than the FAA,but no paperwork)?

I had a long conversation with Burl on the phone this evening. Very interesting product. The website he refers to above answers almost all the questions you could have, it covers the STC'd models, prices, etc.

Burl has developed lots of products over the last 20+ years, and holds the TC's on the Aeronca Sedan among other things. They build lots of parts of for lots of things from Aeronca's to C-180's with the 12's, 18's, and 14's in there as well as the J3's etc they are working on.

Burl went into great detail with me on how the product is built. If you think this is a McPherson strut or an oleo, think again. This is a newly patented process for absorbing shock in a number of loading configurations.

It sounds like the folks that have installed this product are very happy with the results, and Burl sounds like they are ready to stand behind the product. If someone would buy me a set for Christmas, I will be happy to give you a more in depth report.... 8)

Worth a closer look, in my opinion, and I hope to do so soon!
