Air filter, Air filter dome fit

I am in the process of installing a O-320-E2D in my
PA-12 using STC SA656AL. This STC call for the
installation of the round PA-18 filter, 454-118, and
the dome, 15007-000. I order these items from
Univair and they don't fit. The rear diameter of
the dome is about 1/8" too large to fit into the
grove in the filter element. I contacted Univair
about this problem, they agreed with me that
there was a problem, and said the engineering
department was looking for a new source for the
filter element.
Can someone make a measurement of the outside
rear diameter of this dome? The new one I have
is 5.5". I just want to make sure the dome is correct.
I understand that this filter is the same as a Fram
CA119PL and NAPA 2220. Has anyone used these
filter elements?

NAPA filter works fine on MANY Cubs in bush Alaska.
