Acorn exhaust

Howdy all

my old girl needs new exhaust (Front and rear pipes only)- I’m going stock.

Iv been looking at Univair and Acorn from Canada-both Very similar in price… anyone had any fitment issues which would sway my decision one way or another.. or any other advice….

We bought a complete exhaust set for our club PA18-180 (0-360 Lycoming) from Acorn. Took a bit of prompting to get a quote but once we had ordered the exhaust sections were shipped quickly and fitted no problem. Got the impression that the Acorn exhaust was better quality, thicker steel, than the ancient original on the aircraft. Thumbs up for Acorn.

They are now owned by Hartzell Aerospace. From my recent experience with AWI, also a Hartzell Aerospace company I would deal with Univair.

I purchased exhaust flanges and raw tube stock (303) from Acorn for repairs to a R985 exhaust.
I found both the product and customer service superb.

I used them years ago with great service. Hope they still do. I had great service out of AWI years ago as well. Wasn't the same experience during my recent interaction.
