ACME shock PA-12 extended gear field approval

I have a certified PA12 with the 6" extended Atlee HD gear. The STC for the acme shocks only covers a shock length of 30.9" eye to eye. With my gear the shock needs to be 35" eye to eye. Does anyone know of, or have, a field approvals for this? Acme will sell me the shock. but the field approval is my issue...

Are they going to weld a 4" extension on the struts? If so, state that in your application, along with the STC for the struts and your approval for the gear. Get approval before you buy.

I hold 17 field approvals, and not one was based on a prior field approval. I don't think that works all that well lately.

Acme provided me with a longer Heim joint, worked perfect.
