406 ELT for Canada

Just received the following e-mail from Ameri-King about replacing my AK-450 with a new 406 and their certification in Canada. Does anyone know what type of docs we need to have when we cross the border to prove we have the new approved ELT.

Sounds like we are going to have 3 years to comply when it becomes "law" in Feb of next year. New aircraft and aircraft with U/Servicable ELT's have to upgrade immediately but those with functioning older ELT's will have to 2012 to change over.

Therefore I wouldn't be too worried about complying with 406 just to go to/thru Canada

Thanks for the information. Saved me $850.00 for a few more years. Just
didn't want to get to the border next May 15 and have to go back and order a ELT. Already have a Spot and a PLB and nobody cares where I am anyway. Thanks again
