2025 Johnson Creek Meet Up: June 13 - 15

Folks, the 2025 edition of the long standing Johnson Creek Super Cub Fly In is going to be more DIY that in the past. Please read on:

There will be, as I understand it, no formal event - just a meeting of friends and fellow pilots that like to go to JC on that weekend (Father's day weekend).

This mean you will need to be self-sufficient. There will be no organized meals - unless you help organize them, etc.

I don't know who the caretakers are this year, but will try to find out.

THE BIGGEST ISSUE IN THE PAST THAT HAS OCCURED WHEN WE WERE THERE IS A MISUNDERSTANDING ABOUT FIREWOOD. IT IS NOT FREE! Donations, etc need to be sufficent to cover the firewood that is used during the time you are there. If you plan to attend and have a fire (or sit by someone else's) please help support the firewood fund.

Gonna miss the SC weekend but should arrive the 25th for quick camping, fishing and breakfast.

Flying all the way out from the Southeast. Always looking for new stops along the way.

Update for the 2025 Johnson Creek Flyin, June 12-15. There again will be meals catered from the Corner Pub in Yellow Pine on Friday June 13 and Saturday June 14, served at the airstrip. We usually eat around 6:00 each evening. I was hoping that maybe this year Sulpher Creek would be available, but I am afraid that we may never see it open for breakfast again. The fires in the vicinity several years ago have caused a lot of problems for the ranch. The good thing is that the Flying B, Root Ranch, Big Creek are open and available. If the weather cooperates, I may have to try ice cream again. More later
