Laura met up with Glenn in Wisconsin and ran with him during his 2011 run

Many of you may remember back in 2011 when Laura’s brother ran from coast to coast, pushing a baby stroller as his only support to raise awareness and money for Alzheimer’s research.

At that time he had just turned 50 years old or was about to and now 13 years later he is doing it again but a little differently.

So many folks from this website provided support to him on his cross country run. It was truly an amazing outreach. I can never fully express my appreciation to all of you who helped him, walked with him, and gave him great advice or rides and lodging along the way.

All of the 2024 Information is on the link above.

Thanks

Just wanted to give you all an update. As you know, my brother left home on July 17 to begin running ultra distance trail runs (over 26 miles) in every state. That means he is running every other day. On his "day off" he is driving to the next state and producing videos of his runs. I am very proud to announce that yesterday Glenn ran his last of this series in AZ finishing the continental US. He ran the Grand Canyon from rim to rim to rim. That is about 50 miles and over 12,000 feet of climbing with a max elvevation over 8,000 feet. I am in awe. Today he is boarding a plane for Hawaii where he will celebrate his lovely wife's birthday and complete his run there on Monday. Yes...a couple days off. Then he will complete this journey in the spring with his run in AK. I can't tell you how proud of him that I am....I just don't know how to fully express it. He is just an amazing individual. He has had to overcome some struggles on this journey, running with covid and more recently a likely case of food poisoning, rerouting around 2 hurricanes and a near miss with the flooding in NM. I know our family will be relieved when he gets back home!

If you want to see his routes, you can go to his website at alzrun.org. You can also follow his inreach tracking on his HI run, the link is there as well. If you want to help support his efforts to end the suffering caused by Alzheimer's please consider donating to the Cure Alzheimers Fund. You can use the link below.

Thank you for following along and routing for Glenn once again! You are all the best!
