Hi Guys, I recently acquired a project that is now second in line for completing. There's a 7KCAB needing finishing first so we can get it in the school and make some $. Anyways, This -12 was damaged in a landing incident (groundloop, right wing, prop strike) in 2000. Disassenbly happened, some work was done - But life happened and my intent was to repair , cover and finish the restoration on this very complete PA-12. 4600+ TTAF, Crosswindsstol STC for o-320-e2d and an EAA STC for auto gas. 4 fuel tanks, Scott 3200 tailwheel with a new tail spring. of course - PA-18 tail feathers. New, never installed windshield. Best I can tell - and I did an inventory - all the parts are here to put this back together. O-320 was nose down on an engine stand, oiled - not pickeled. Flange runout measures - .001. Bendix Mags. Engine mount is powder coated black. Fuselage and wings are uncovered. Full interior in acceptable retro (1980's) velour and red vinyl! Decent panel and radios. All logs back to 1947 with STC's and a briefcase full of documentation. Thanks for the interest, Email or Messenger for photos. It's easy to add a name to the Google Photo Album. Ask is 20k. Not interested in breaking for parts or selling engine separate . 95237BD0-93D1-4346-9432-4CBF2E255FE1.jpg

lets go

Interested. Would like to take a look.

Give me a call or text. I was in Texas last week and measured the airplane fuselage for transport. A friend in Decatur has the keys for the storage unit and can get you access.

Blue Skies,

Terry

It's at Decatur Storage southeast of town. Was a convenient place for my friend to be able to show it.

Blue Skies,

Ok, it didn't look like LUD but I know there are some other strips around. Good luck and if you need any help I am 50 miles west.

The plan is to move the project to Florida mid June to begin the restoration. I may have questions as I progress. The engine will stay with Vintage Aircraft Services at 58T for overhaul. Thanks for the offer. You picked a nice paint scheme for yours.

Thanks. I didn't know Bill built engines. O-320?

I'm sourcing a 8x20 enclosed trailer in the Fort Worth area to use to pack up the PA-12 and take it back to Florida to begin the restoration... Photos to follow!

I am looking for a 12 project and would like to know if the project is still available.

Since I've gotten all the parts back to my hangar in Florida I've spent time doing a complete inventory and inspection of the parts. I've stripped the spinner and boot cowl, etched and primed them. All the tail feathers have had the fabric removed and inspected. The extra set of wings have been scavenged for salvagable parts to repair the right wing that was damaged in the ground loop. Work in progressing and I've got a short list of parts to order. If this level of project is something you would be interested in hearing more about - drop me a line @ terryhagle@gmail.com. I'll then get you my phone #. Have an awesome night.

I've decided not to go forward with returning this PA-12 to airworthy status. There are listings on Barnstormers for various parts. I'll add more as time permits. I'm also selling the 0-320-e2d core that I have. All sorts of great parts to keep someone else's in the air. Best way to contact is the email above, or the link through Barnstormers.
Thanks, Terry

Tom, I have a friend with a 12 that has a low time 160 HP engine, PA-18 wings, gear, and tailfeathers. It has been hangar kept but has not been in annual for 3-4 years. It's in Birchwood, AK I am not an A&P and think I'd rather just build an 18 from scratch than get embroiled in a restoration. it's on wheels but comes with wheel skis. (918) 557-2475 is my number and I can put you in contact with the owner.
