Spent 3.5 today with the fire hose on full force. Idle turns, step turns, plow turns, glassy water landings, emergency landings. Tomorrow a review and then the check.

Didn't get one but it wasn't bad. Their headsets truly suck and could be used as an alternate to water boarding.

There's a well worn trail from Alaska to Brown's this time of year. Great way to enjoy some sun and fun.

They stay booked about two months ahead. The J-3 was a hoot. No radios. Although some do have starters, they don't use them.

I see why they are busy. The last friend that went really enjoyed flying one of their J-3s with a stroked C-85 on big Aqua floats. Did you do any partial power ops? What's the EW of the plane you flew?

Didn't do partial power. I didn't keep the W&B I had to do but it was 900 hundred and something on Aqua 1500s. With 420 lbs of Pilots and 6 gals of gas, we had seven lbs to spare.

I got my float rating there in 1995 and go back every time I can to do a refresher. Great bunch of people and always fun - and of course there’s Fantasy of Flight nearby with the big Short Sandringham to see. Good for you Eddie
