    Vintage OSH pics - Modified Cubs/Outside the box thinking.

    I was going through some family pics, saw these. Cubs of a few different stripes. It looks to be from the 60's.
    I never had chance to not like airplanes.

    I've flown the biplane super Cub. Doesn't do anything different than a regular Super Cub except go slower and ruin looking at the ground

    The biplane cub had some interested stall speeds listed for a stock 150 hp cub trying to make the mod look good.

    Wonder what the covering was on N7131. It was exported to Canada and the registration was cancelled in 1967. So the pictures probably are from ‘67 or earlier.

    If you're thinking of Whitacker Tandem wheels, they used 8.00 x 4 Cub wheels, not tundra tires.

    Someone also had a tracked system that was tested but never put on the market that I know of.

    Tangent, but a favorite video is Northrop testing the OV10 gear. The rebound dampening and shock system appeared to work well, but the pilot probably had a headache.
