We were not able to make it up for the show this year, but I know a number of you have! Did you see anything fun, new, or exciting while there?
thanks!

Nice to put faces with names- especially those who have been so willing to share their expertise and knowledge. (You know who you are……)
Getting to fly into the AK state fairgrounds was pretty cool! I had my Cub there for "show and shine". Had to help push the Beaver (on 8.50's?) through the mud on the way in. Elephant walk/rapid fire departure at 1700 local on Sat. was fun. Getting to do some flying and participate in the show a little bit was exciting for me, although we had a 1/4 mile of gravel to get 'em down on, so even with the power lines on both ends it was no sweat of course. Beautiful backcountry stolquest SQ cubs on display along with a some good 'ol 18's & tricked out super cruisers. Talked to a fella named Tyler (if I remember right) from GAMI who said they will be working with Crowley Fuels on getting G100UL to Alaska soon. Twin Seabee "stol" the show and got best in show for the show and shine event. A somewhat local guy from Fairbanks won the raffle Carbon Cub FX2, so that was good to see! If the money from the show and raffle helps even just a handful of kids get an interest in flying and/or maintaining airplanes it, it would be worth it even if it wasn't so much fun just to look at cool planes and flying gear all day.
