What would be required to register in us? Would be considered experimental?

yes, experimental, the Canadian guys call it armature built on the certificate of registration, but the same and cross border no problems.
No AME required for yearly inspections
    This happens quite frequently
When selling I sing off the certificate of registration and bill of sale then you register at your location.
    thank you
PS... The reason I am selling is purchased a wide body nick smith and hope to receive in April to start assembly

not a nick smith kit, the gentleman that built it was Ken Shute and old guy AME, crop sprayer, still sits in his hanger at his home strip every day but no more flying, He built it from scratch, made his own jig for frame and wings using the PA18 drawings, still has them. I have photos of the wings and frame going together and the fabric work.
I redid the weight and balance and empty weight is 1194, useful load 745 if I am reading it correctly
I can post more pictures just need to figure how to get them off my phone
    thanks for looking

Reach out to me and I can talk you through how I imported a midget mustang from Canada to the US. Mine was further complicated in that the builder/owner had passed away from Cancer. Text 202-495-0811 and we can setup a time.

More marketing is all you need. Could be some hold-back as everyone insists we need to have a recession for some reason.

Unless things have changed, since this has a Canadian registration only a Canadian licensed pilot would be allowed to fly it. So, if a Canadian pilot delivers it part way and the US pilot wants to fly it the rest of the way... he can't. It will be grounded until the US registration and airworthiness are issued. So if Kodiack does buy it, Greg would have to fly it all the way to Kodiack's location where he is going to have it inspected. Also before it is inspected the new N number must be painted on the plane. A friend imported a plane from Switzerland and missed this point. He had to pay the inspector twice.

I had to deliver a new US registered airplane to the Canadian port of entry with the Canadian owner on board because he did not have a US license. At the port of entry it was changed to Canadian registration and airworthiness.

There are lots of little quirks to it. It's not hard, but it's a little tedious and can take some time. I added a transponder, DTOPS, did the AW inspection in Canada, registered it, etc. so I could just fly it home. Only risk I had was the time between deregistration in CA and registration and AW in US and the fact that as soon as I took off in Canada I was committed to crossing the border as it did not have insurance on it.
