    J5ron Has flown home.

My Cousin-in-law Ron Langseth who was called J5Ron finally flew home after fighting cancer for five years. He passed on Jan 18th at 11:49PM. Ron was JA5 on here. He loved posting here and I am sure many of you spent some time with him either in the air, the hanger or on-line. Flying was one of the most wonderful parts of his life. He was taken way too young. Wendy, and his girls are strong but I thought you guys should know.

As a J5 owner on the other side of the world I had some interactions with him too, nice and helpful guy. The big C is no respecter of persons and is taking way too many of the best people. My sympathies to his wife and children

Ron was a member for nearly 20 years. We are very sorry to hear about this, and thank you very much for letting us know.

He will truly be missed. He came into Reeves last year just to chat and tell flying stories. Had no idea who he was until he recognized my plane and we exchanged handles on here. Just a super nice guy and good to talk to.

Absolutely! I was fortunate to get to know Ron while working out of Valdez every summer. He was a real family, flying, friends guy. One of the toughest I have known in his battle with cancer. I will definitely miss him. My sincere condolences to his daughters, wife, family and friends.
