NO tail damage or even hard contact, right front ski inches away from the same crevasse, got back in, gave it full up tail/power/left rudder, as the trench curved to the left and had to be avoided, and it worked! Avoiding hours of work no doubt. I can't imagine the work involved in the bigger planes, well yeah I can...
