Van's throttle/mixture bracket.

Planning on using Van's throttle/mixture bracket on O-360 conical mount, Javron widebody. Anybody running this setup? Which throttle cable will work? Seems like longer PA-12 throttle cable may work. Any info/pics appreciated.
Thanks

The vans bracket is meant to be used with a bulkhead mounted type cable which has a threaded end and nut to capture the cable at the bracket end. The standard A800 or 920 type cable uses a notch to clip into a bracket that won’t work well with that bracket unless you drill it out and use a Cable Safe nut. You can buy the cables from vans in many lengths. 60 inch is what I’ve used for the Bearhawks but they have a longer mount. Measure it to be sure

I have used that bracket a few times. I think I may have had to modify (shorten) it for the O-360 cub that I used it on. Worked good on my experimental Maule with the 0-360 because there was more room between the engine mount and engine.

I used one on my Javron. Had to modify it for the mixture cable.
and used something like this for the cable
