That's amazing! When we lived in Okinawa, we had taken a tour of a place that grew all kinds of vegetables hydroponically. Amazingly nice produce and as a side note, they were nearly perfectly shaped, which is something that the culture seems to focus on.
I somewhat know the story of Norm A having been to Winifred and briefly met him, but can someone fill in the blanks on Norm?
I respect his privacy, just want to know more about him. To say he is an inspiration falls short. He surely has made a difference here on earth. I believe is is a CarbonCub brother?

Here’s a small start: a link to the website of Norman’s company: https://www.aaon.com/

The next time I crane up some HVAC units onto a rooftop, (did 2 Friday) I will pay attention to what brand they are. That test facility is an innovative idea, and is obviously top tier in the way it's laid out and equipped, it's pretty obvious why Norm is a sucessful businessman.
I STILL have never seen any other I-beams like in the Winifred hangar, that have the vertical web not straight, but curvy. The night I spent camped out in there during a storm I noticed them...., I bet that was more of Norm's outside the usual box thinking.

One of the largest employers here in Tulsa and easily top 100 in Oklahoma. Have many friends there and it's an amazing employer for people who are driven to do well, they have many state-of-the-art facilities. Just before covid i was invited to attend the dedication of AAON's new testing facility where they can create any weather condition one can image on full size operating HVAC equipment, and it was truly impressive with multiple test cells capable of handling buss sized equipment. I had met Norm various times in the past and he spoke briefly at the dedication about his upbringing.
That is a very nice thing to do. It will be interesting to see if it will draw people to Winifred that can work remotely for their job. The town I live in is hoping to build a new high tech school to attract quality people but it will take higher property taxes to make it happen.
Lots of activity on that attracting remote workers, this program is funded by a large foundation in here in Tulsa https://tulsaremote.com/
