Cleveland wheels and brake kit 199-23100

Tx
I got a cub to annual and trying to figure out the paperwork. It has 3 bolt main wheels and no mention of upgraded gear. Turns out it’s HD Univair gear I think. It has 30-60A calipers and 1-1/2” axles. Does anyone know what wheels are calipers are called out in the Cleveland 199-23100 kit?

Thanks

From an old Cleveland Product catalog: Piper J-3 Kit # 199-71 or -71A, wheel #40-60 or -60A, disc #164-06700, Brake assy #30-60A, Lining #066-10600
Installation by Field Approval.

Isn’t the 199-71 kit for 1 1/4” axles? OP is asking about 1 1/2 axle gear.

Univair catalog sez that's for a 199-07100 kit.

Univair catalog #105 says 199-23100 kit for J3 thru PA22 with 1-1/2" axles includes:
040-08400 wheel, 164-01900 disc, 030-04102 brake assembly.
Here's a pic of the brake assembly detail

Here's a scan the page of Cleveland kits page, it breaks down the components of each kit.
If it's not readable, I can email it to you if you give me your email.

Probably what the catalog calls the 199-231 kit made specifically for Univair? https://www.univair.com/tires-wheel...cleveland-conversion-kit-piper-1-5-inch-axle/

Look at the brake caliper parts drawings. The -41 and -60 calipers are on the same page and with exception of the housings they share identical parts. No idea what differs between the housings.

Back in the olden days a mechanic would just execute a 337 with the STC listed on back. Now the only legal way is to get a letter from the STC holder ($). Kinda neat - like a forever patent.

Sorta. If the STC is approved and written with language that says it requires a permission letter with a serial number for the aircraft (like all Garmins do), then it's a forever patent. But for the old STCs, it's the same as it ever was. Depends on the IA and how the STC is written.

You can purchase the STC paperwork only from Univair for $84 for the Cleveland brake conversion. That's what I did to "legalize" my cub's installation:

I did call Univair and they said we have an stc for the gear and brake kit listed above but couldn’t tell me what model number the wheels and brakes were

My contact in engineering that would look things like that up is no longer there. I would call the Cleveland tech number. Had good luck getting answers from them.
