August 6 in Dexter 1B0 donít forget

Iím not posting this in the other thread, for Iím sure some arenít reading it. So this is for you.

Up in Maine, just a short flight northwest of Bangor International Airport, near Dexter Regional Airport, there lives a humble potato farmer that was born into the work ethic of his parents, and is passing forth the same to his children and grandchildren.

A man that takes a man at his word, and his handshake and word tells you the respect is given back to you, as it always should be.

A man that should you reach out with a need, he will bend the daylight and the night that follows to help you. And then check the next day to make sure all is well.

A man that has done well farming, and realised after participating in a make a wish campaign that there is no better act than to give back to his community, to his state, to share with those in special need.

So every year, Jim Crane, of the Crane Brothers farm in Exeter, Maine, puts together and hosts a fly in-camp out-weekend gathering to benefit the kids of Maine via Make-A-Wish Maine.

These kids, like your own, are special. They too want to experience things in their lives, just like all of our kids. But terminally ill kids have a shorter time period to do it. So they wish extra hard for a few things. Amazingly they typically ask for something they can do with their brothers, sisters, moms and dads.

Why? Because they are just like Jim. They find sharing with others to be the greatest gift of all. Itís what makes them the happiest of people.

This weekend, particularly Saturday, 8/6/22, is this years Wings-For-Wishes event at the Dexter Airport, 1B0.

Your support, your ability to share, is not only greatly needed, but greatly appreciated. Come to Dexter, perhaps for Saturday, perhaps for the Friday and Saturday. Fly your tail dragger to Maine and get to know Jim, his family, and his flying friends. We fly, we laugh, we eat, drink and regal all with wonderful stories.

But most of all we share a little of ourselves, to help a little more of them. Please join us in Maine. ❤️
