HELP PROTECT RACECARS by challenging in Federal Court the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s assertion that street vehicles cannot be converted into racecars
Get Involved

Jon Pulli, CEO of Turn14, is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of the RESC Coalition. John is the co-chair of the Racing Enthusiasts and Suppliers Coalition (RESC). The coalition has filed a lawsuit in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to determine if the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has the authority under the Clean Air Act to prohibit any person from disabling, removing, or rendering inoperative emission controls on an EPA-certified motor vehicle that is being or has been converted to be used solely for purposes of the competition and is or will no longer be used on public roads.
RESC and its supporters are comprised of passionate enthusiasts, small business owners, and thousands of employees and their families that rely on auto racing for their livelihoods. Racing as a hobby and passion is under attack, and without your support, racecars, as many know them, could no longer exist.
In 2016, the U.S. EPA changed its interpretation of the Clean Air Act to announce a new position that the conversion of street cars into racecars would be outlawed. This lawsuit is not a replacement for congressional action to protect racing; rather, it is an essential step we can take ourselves, as an industry and as racing enthusiasts, towards protecting racecars while we wait for Congress to act.

This case directly challenges in Federal Court the EPA's assertion that those who design, sell, and install parts converting street vehicles into racecars are violating the law, despite decades of hobbyist participation in this American pastime.

Without the required funding, John and RESC cannot bring this case to trial.
100% of all donations, after GoFundMe.com fees, will be utilized to pay court costs and legal fees to take this critical case up to the Supreme Court, to advocate for reasonable action by the EPA, and for related RESC advocacy work. Donor money will only be used for these purposes. Donations to RESC should not be considered charitable donations for income tax purposes. Please consult your tax advisor regarding any tax implications for you or your business and whether your donation may be considered a business expense. The Racing Enthusiast and Suppliers Coalition are organizing this fundraiser.
