Bushwheel dry rot?

Thanks for the add. I'm looking at a set of 29" ABW & I'm curious if a guy keeps them out of the sun & conditioned how long will they last before dry rot if you don't fly often enough to wear them out?

Even if covered they will crack where the sun don't shine - like where they contact earth or frozen ground. My experience.

That was a good year for Bushwheels. Keep them out of the weather/sun and give them a spritz and wipe down with 303 once a month and they should last 8-10 years on average. I like to park on a sheet of plywood to keep them off of the blacktop and you can use fabric tire covers or make your own box type covers out of plywood. The plywood covers are also great for standing on to fuel the plane.
