Last September a couple of friends went out on the barren-lands northeast of Yellowknife, one with a Maule on 31's and the other with a PA-11 on floats. They got a muskox, which apparently has turned out to be a world record.

Nunavut, are these eaten? Curious what the meat is like?

Yes. The meat can be excellent or tough as nails, like any wild game. The meat that I've had has been very good, with the fat "marbled" in the meat, unlike tasty but lean caribou meat.

Ice has been out week, Red lake did not disappoint. Dad caught his share and enjoyed the rare good weather we seem to be getting.

Showing fresh Walleye fillets is cruel and unusual punishment. Just add some fresh cheese curds and breaded deep fried onion rings to finish us off.

Could I please have a biscuit? I've been sleeping for months, and I'm very hungry!

This guy was looking in my window at 6:45 the other day.
