    WTB PA 18 Super Cub

Looking to buy a certified Piper PA 18 Super Cub 150/160. Would prefer one that is airworthy and flying with AK mods and STC's. Would prefer it to be restored or in good shape but will consider one that needs work or restoration. Serious buyer, cash in hand. Call or text me at (775) 450-2733.

I have the opportunity to buy the last Super Cub I rebuilt in March so I need to start thinking about selling mine. It is not pretty but has all the right stuff on it for me. Have not figured a price yet, crazy market right now and like anyone else I want as much as I can get for it. It is a 1972 model, recovered in 1996, it has just over 13,000 hours of which almost 11,000 were as a power line patrol plane. Has a factory reman with roller cam that is probably 2394 hours on it but I installed 4 new Lycoming cylinders about 268 hrs ago that I had LyCon flow match and do their 3 angle valve job on. It is a bit rough looking but never damaged other than some small fabric repairs from rubbing tree branches. Performs very well and weighs 1125.160 hp Lycoming
    Oil sump and cylinder pre-heater
    8241 Borer
B&C alternator, new wiring and electrical when I installed the alternator from alternator all the way to wing root.
light weight front mounted oil cooler
    SkyTec starter
Sutton exhaust with removable tail pipe
B&C oil filter adapter with Challenger reusable oil filter
    Thrustline modification
    31" Alaska Bushwheels
3" extended Atlee Dodge gear 1.5" axles and safety cables
    AOSS shock struts
Long step on right, fueling step on left
1.5" axle Cleveland wheels and brakes with one piece braided brake lines
Dakota Cub brake cylinders with extended reservoir
Dakota Cub left, right both fuel valve with stock header tank fuel system
    Micro VGs
Trig TY91 Com with built in intercom, Voice activated and intercom push to talk switches on throttle panel behind each throttle. Rear seat PTT on left wing root.
Electronics International FP5L fuel flow meter
    Whelen wing tip strobes
LED nav, landing and taxi light bulbs
    Oregon Aero seats
AmSafe inertia reel pilot shoulder harness
Hooker Harness fixed should harness rear seat
Carbon Concepts under rear seat storage box
All new wiring, circuit breakers and circuit breaker switches when radio and alternator installed
Hawker SBS-J16 battery mounted in stock location for better CG
    Performance STOL flaps
Baby Bushwheel 2 bolt headed tail wheel on Airframes Alaska tail spring with long steering paw installed
    Cub Crafters elevator gap seals
I have a spinner but it is not installed, 7 lbs.
    Firman pod

160 hp but did more on the dyno. Pulls harder with a 44" Borer than my former 160 hp with a 41".

Go ahead and jam a screwdriver in the bottom of one of the tip bays and a tail feather as soon as possible. It’ll make taking it to the river easier……

Yes. I told him as part of the purchase agreement that he has to wash it every now and then though.

You better hold him to that
Although itís easier to keep a new one clean that one thatís a little rougher.
