Tailwheel anti-rotation pin

What do you think happened here? I am guessing either an incorrect assembly (me), mashing the pin down. Or I let it get worn and sloppy enough for the brass ring and dust cover hop over the pin and mash it down. No issue either way as I am now rebuilding it after 1,600 hours.

I've had that happen on a couple. Wear I guess plus the lower fork bearing gets loose and makes for slop. Had to drill a small #40 hole in the fork below the pin to drive it out, then sealed hole with RTV.

I tig a bolt or screw to it and pull them out- common to be worn like that...
