I need a set of cleveland torque plates (Double Puck) for my project. The ones I have dont line up with the atlee dodge gear I bought. I dont think it's the gear.... I think the torque plates are wrong. I bought the brakes second hand and was told they came from a Super Cub..... I guess not.
I'm curious if the torque plates have the p/n marked on them?

1.5" or 1.25" axle gear? The bolt pattern is different between them

Yep, 1.25" gear has a 1/4" bolt 4 bolt pattern with equal (square) spacing. 1.5" gear has a Cessna type pattern that is 4 bolts but spaced in a rectangular pattern. The 1.5" torque plates are 075-13600 and have 6 holes 3/8" diameter that you will need to bush down to 1/4" and use only 4 of the 6 holes. You can use all 6 but it's really not necessary.
You can of course source them through ABI but they are $257 each. I'm sure a lot of people have old ones sitting around that would cost much less to buy used.
Still Looking for these 1.5" Axle torque plates, Happy to trade my 1.25 Axle torque plates.
What about the calipers? I would double check the calipers will mate with the rotors. I’m assuming you have 1.5” wheels from Cleveland and 1.25” brakes.
I would just double check p/n first before changing “only torque plates”
Check part numbers
40-60 wheels compatible with 30-60 brakes 1.25”
40-75 wheels compatible with 30-52 brakes 1.5”
Maybe you have just wrong torque plates, but I would check the calipers p/n and wheel p/n before dropping 500$ on torque plates

If someone has an extra set of 1.25 torque plates lying around. I’m looking for a set, it’ll make ski changeover a bit easier.
FWIW besides the bolt pattern difference between the 1.25" & 1.5: torque plates,
I believe there are different offsets available.
So the torque plate not only has to match the axle holes, it has to match up with the wheels & rotors.
My Univair catalog has a breakdown of the different part numbers that make up each wheel & brake kit.

I could be wrong here but I haven't seen too many issues with torque plate offset (as long as we're talking "normal" brake kits used on cubs/cessnas). Cleveland plates aren't offset, only the ABI ones for the common 199-71 or 199-62 kits. The ABI torque plates have a dogleg worked into the plate whereas Cleveland just welds the slider pin bushings off to one side.
What type of ski/brake setup are you running? I am trying to install LW2500 skis with ABI 30-60A double puck brakes and they interfere with the skis. I think I need a custom torque plate made or go to single puck brakes

Most retractable cub skis where designed for the 1 1/4 axle/brake. When people started going to 1 1/2 the tits on the back of the calipers cause problems. If the tit on the back is the issue go to a set of Cleveland 1 1/4 calipers. Sometimes gear has some strange axle spacer that also causes problems. DENNY
ABI-30-60's have a little triangle bump in the middle back that is absent on the Cleveland 30-60's. That might be what is interfering on your ski installation.
