    “Ridgerunner” project.

Ridgerunner (precursor to Kitfox ?, google it)

ended up with this in a trade, no paperwork, no plans, no knowledge of history.
looks like a kit built, pretty complete.
fuse appears professionally built, tandem seating, dual controls, excellent welding/workmanship - rigged and ready for cover (?)
    tail feathers covered to polybrush.
wing ribs and spars assembled, flaps and aileron components appear to be complete but need assembly.
Engine is a two cylinder 4 stroke, pressure oiled, 35 hp (?) new and in good condition.
    instrument panel complete.
seat cushions, seat belts, cowl, winshield, marked bags of hardware - all there.
    $4000 obo
    located KIZA (Ca)

happy to provide more detai of parts/photos.

If anyone has any knowledge/familiarity with this kit,
please chime in and I’ll pass it on to new owner.

    Update:
Got the engine running yesterday, attached the rudder and tailwheel linkage. Couldn’t resist taking it for a lap around the airport.
This thing turned some heads and has become a big hit. We’ve set up a time trial course, excellent for tailwheel transition training.
A couple of nose wheel pilots are going to try it today, be interesting to see how readily they adapt.

A guy I know decided to taxi his Fisher Koala around without the wings on it.
He didn't think about the effect of the wings on CG & managed to nose it over.
    Just saying.
    Cessna Skywagon-- accept no substitute!

Thanks, 180, for the heads up on cg concerns.
thats been addressed by adding weigh to the tail, about 20lbs. (check photo above)
Im more concerned about a rollover now without the benefit of wings when it groundloops.

As much fun as we’re having tearing around the airport, all good things must eventually come to an end - and the airport manager has had enough - something to the effect that go carts are banned on the airport. We got into a argument as to what constitutes an aircraft vs go cart, “wings” he said.

After some limited research and common sense, I think the current engine is inappropriate, under powered and overweight. The overhung bearing support for prop shaft looks a little questionable as well.
Im thinking to repurpose the engine for a different, terrestrial, project,

Price reduced to $2000 w/o engine.
More appropriate engine would be Rotax 60 - 80 hp.
The more time I spend around this project the more impressed I am:
    Jig welded, 4130 powdercoated fuselage
    all AN hardware
    Cub type bungee gear
    Flaps
    Complete hardware kit
    Wing mounted fuel tanks (2)
PMA’d gascloator, acs ignition sw, instruments..

If my hangar was done I would be all over this. Would be perfect for a 'strip maker' and float plane for local fishing.

Hope someone jumps and makes it into a great bird
I don't know where you've been me lad, but I see you won first Prize!
