Super Cub metal belly Panels - Entire Fuselage bottom

Has any experimental builder here constructed an airplane with the full metal bottom as shown on the NL 12183 fuselage drawing. The tabs are shown on the bottom detail indicating this mod is possible. If so, what have been the pros and cons.

I didn't build it, but my -12 replica has a full metal belly. I like it. It's easier to do a thorough annual inspection and the belly is less prone to damage from off-airport operations. Of course it is (more than) a bit heavier.
