Pa-12 front windshield attachment question

I’m in the final stages of reassembling a ‘46 cruiser. It has one of the curve-topped windshields. How do the wing root fairings attach to the top of the windshield. The fairings Have many holes drilled in them on the windshield side but the window itself has no holes... and I’m out of pieces! Is there some kind of gasket bridging the two? Any close up pics or info would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have used the rubber strip form Wag-Aero on most, I think the number is 799-000. A channel with a long lip to lay on windshield, glue channel on the fairing.

It probably has holes in it because they used rib stitching cord to hold the rubber fairing on. I've seen that before. Just put the fairing on with contact cement.

Piper stapled the rubber molding on the wind root fairings. I use 3M Super Weather-strip Adhesive available at most auto parts stores.
