    Prop for J-3 C-85 Stroker

I need a Sensenich W72GK42 to replace the CK model on current A-65. I am not adverse to a metal prop that would be legal on Stoker J-3.

Have you tried your prop on your stroker?

I haven't tried it on the stroker yet. The stroker is a bunch of pieces on the workbench right now. Awaiting all the parts, including screws , expensive bolts and other things like the mags and stromberg. I have read in several threads that a W72CK42 wasn't approved for the 85hp stroker because of the increased rpm compared to the 65hp A65. It would require W72GK42 apparently. If your asking about 42 pitch, I don't know all the nuances of that pitch in the Cub.

I know a local guy near Ithaca, NY that has a low time W72GK46 that I sold him. The wrong prop for a C90 installation on a PA-11 was ordered and I sold it to this man for his 85 HP Champ. He liked the look of it but went back to his metal propeller. Accordinng to Don Swords, if you want a wood prop an an 85 stroker, that's the one. If you are interested, I will put you two together.

Sorry to say that I checked with the owner of the W72GK-46 and he had already sold it. I responded by email but am backing that up with a post.
