Hello,
I recently purchased my first PA-18 a few months ago and had a couple questions.
1. I cannot find the part number to the "turnbuckle" on the top of the wing that connects the aileron cable to the aileron. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Second part of that question: Does anyone have experience replacing those? My mechanic is concerned when we remove the swedge...we may end up having to replace the whole cable.
2. Second question is about fabric - This aircraft was re-covered with Stitts Poly Fiber 103 in 2001 with tach time of 1406. Tach time now is about 1420 and it was stored inside the whole time. Yesterday the gentleman flying with me noticed the fabric was sagging a little on the top of wing between the ribs inside the hangar. When we pulled it outside in the sun it all tightened up and looked good. Is this normal? He has owned 4 cubs and was a little concerned about it.
Thanks,
Ross
