I hope people post pictures from the STOL event this weekend. The engine oil in our Bearhawk is overheating, so we will be stuck in the hangar diagnosing it.
 
Emilie you should get some younger oil, I heard that doesn’t overheat as much.

Took a long time to warm up this year. A week ago night air temps were in the high 30s. Yesterday water was 75f and first swim of the season. Fly in and cool off.

Just took a nap with a vodka tonic

Glenn, didn't Zonker Harris in Doonesbury have a similar pond at the commune that he called "Walden Puddle"?
 
Good that the pond water temps are finally up, mama turtle should be around in a few more days to lay this years eggs before she moves on to a nice pond for the summer.

Some of you might remember me buying this Old Town square back canoe 3 years ago? I took some of the wooden seats out so I could use comfortable beach chairs. I took a 20 year old electric trolling motor apart so I could extended control where ever I sat. Summer came and went 3 times but this morning I got everything together and the Spousal unit headed North to the ADK on this awesome 90f day. This little 13.8 foot boat is incredible. Even loaded in 2' waves. Spent 5 hour in it today and was comfy the whole time. Battery lasted 4.5 hrs doing 3.2mph. and it fits on top of our VW wagon.

We let the center pivots run on their own yesterday afternoon and we all took off The spousal unit is in FL so it’s me and the cub and 90 degrees with 30kt wind. Glen should recognize this spot.
I ate my lunch on another beach on Lobster Lake until mrs moose wanted me to leave. Didn’t get her picture but got the message. Must have been a little one with her

Is the picnic table still there? I too had a Moose encounter on that spit long ago. It's a nice spot to camp.
