Primary Flight Instruction near Eugene OR

I have a winter neighbor that wants to learn to fly right away. He has a house here on the airpark and a cub ride it got him hooked. He wants to do several days a week and get it done. He has the time and wherewithal. Wants a good old time type instruction not someone trying to just build time. Eugene/Creswell area is best for him. Do you know anyone in the area or have any ideas?

Hmm, really no one in that area? Any ideas further out? I found that TacAero does intensive type training in Dallesport WA. Anyone have any experience there?

They're based in Hood River.

Yes true they are based in Hood River but they do a 4-6 week intensive primary training in Dallesport, at least that is what they told me the other day.

Interesting. Dallesport WA is across the Columbia River from the Dalles OR,
and only about 25 miles upriver from Hood River OR.
I wonder if there's a financial reason to operate in Washington vs Oregon.
For example, WA doesn't have a personal income tax (yet!!) & OR does.

TacAero does a good job. Did my initial TW. With them in AZ and flew a bunch with them out of Hood River, they have lots to pick from around there. Have fun!

Got my TW endorsement with Lars at TacAero in Dallesport. They will do primary training in J3, SuperCub, TopCub or Cessna. Great guy and excellent instructor.
