Defective inspection rings

Wondering if anyone else has come across this issue with inspection rings. The most recent batch we got from Spruce are very brittle and break with any flexing. There seems to be a notch, maybe where they come off the injection mold, that is cracking. The material is also very brittle and fragile. Anyone else seeing this issue? Anyone know of other sources or a manufacturer who could make these? Not sure where Spruce gets the rings from.

Thanks,
Marty57

Remember these inspection rings were designed to be used with dope. Dope softens them causing them to blend in with the rest of the dope on the fabric. Placing doilies over them is extra insurance. The Stewarts chemicals do not soften and melt them into the rest of the finish. I know that doesn't solve your issue. Don't bend them, just glue them down and cover them with the doilies.
