Coleman Picnic Stove

My in-laws had this little Coleman stove in their garage and it ended up here from their estate. I cleaned it up and was curious about it not having seen these smaller propane canisters. I wondered if anyone on the site could put a time period on the stove?

Her parents were not known campers to me and we wondered if it may have been from a road trip they made to Alaska in the late 50s? The box shows it was delivered to Skaggs Drug in Missoula and there is a price sticker but it isn’t legible.

Surprisingly the LP canister still had fuel in it when I unscrewed it to clean it up. The can was punctured by the receiving part of the stove and there is a similar storage area for a spare.

Looks like a nice flame. I had a little stove that used cans like that 40 years ago but they were Butane
